There are three straw star crafting tools in our range, the Star 8, Star 16 and Star 24, with 8, 16 or 24 slots respectively
Each tool has two parts, a top ring and a bottom frame. Split straw is laid into the gaps according to the design required and then clamped into place temporarily by the top ring which works using a simple twist mechanism. Once clamped in place the straws are tied or glued together before being trimmed and removed from the tool.

Veronica provided the knowledge, guidance and inspiration we needed to envision how we could apply exciting new techniques and processes to help preserve and maintain this critically endangered, ancient hand craft.
